It is with a very heavy heart that I am posting the devastating loss of my beautiful boy Ozzy.

As many of you know, Ozzy became so devastated when his cagemate Piccolo died at the end of last year. He lost loads of weight and we almost lost him. I introduced him to little Ezra, who gave him something to live for and he became stronger and healthier. Ozzy and Ezra have been inseperable these past few months and have shared a very close bond.

Last night as I did my final rounds of 'checks' I noticed that Ozzy was laid in his wooden house and didn't come out to say goodnight as he usually did. When I checked, he was curled in a forever sleep, thankfully peaceful. Ezra is a little worried, he keeps looking for him and moving the house to see if he is behind it. It just breaks my heart. Ozzy wasn't quite 2, still so young with no outward problems. It has been a terrible shock. :(

So, here is my gorgeous little guy, who I will miss so very much. I take comfort in knowing that he is reunited with Piccolo.

Oh my lovely, i am so sorry to read you have lost Ozzy, what a shock for you :( bless him, the only thing we can ask for is that they go peacefully and it seems he did and he is now with his old buddy at RB. I hope Ezra will be ok bless him.

I am very sorry that you have you have lost Ozzy so unexpectedly. You have given him the happiest of lives!

Thank you all for your support and kind words. Ozzy was a star, so placid and laid back. I'll really miss the little guy. It was a huge shock, I had been talking to him only a couple of hours before.

Ezra is very quiet. He hasn't eaten very much today, just seems to be sitting in his bed. He is my little songbird, usually so vocal and always singing...but today I haven't heard a peep. Every time I go past his cage he rushes to the front, I think he expects me to pop Ozzy back in the cage. :(

I'll give him a while than will search for a piggy friend for him from Milhaven. x

I read your thread with tears in my eyes I know what you are going through. Ozzy, find your friends over the Bridge, and play forever, Hugs to you x
