Senior Guinea Pig
Well it’s two months today that I lost my boy so time to say a proper goodbye. It’s taken a while as very hard to talk about if I’m honest! (Sorry a bit long!)
I adopted Pedro and his sister Poppy in Oct 2010, I visited them at four weeks old and fell in love so was incredibly excited when they moved in the following month. And from then on my evenings just involved chinchillas!

Gorgeous Poppy and her bro enjoying one of his favourites

We very sadly lost Poppy after years of teeth trouble on 02.02.18, I was heartbroken but Pedro coped brilliantly and seemed to enjoy a cage to himself and getting spoilt!
On 29.10.18 my poor lad suffered a horrendous abscess, ended up losing his eye and from then on had a lot of medical care. Flushing out empty eye sockets, lots of meds and teeth issues but he powered on, staying a happy and strong little chap right to the end!

He was the most fun guy to be around, absolutely gorgeous and a massive personality! He loved escaping and causing trouble, absolutely loved his sand baths and a chin and tummy rub and obviously using me a chair (but he could do what he wanted really, far too spoilt!).

Lovely members on the forum also became rather artistic, with some brilliant pics I’ll treasure
Thanks to everyone who supported us so much through it all x

He really was my world and my life isn’t the same without him but think he’s up there causing mischief!
And I’m hoping lots of cuddles and treats from my amazing uncle who sadly lost his fight with cancer five days after I lost Ped.
Pederoni you’ll never, ever be forgotten and took half of my heart with you. Love you more than words could say xx

It really has blown me away and know I wouldn’t have got through this year without you all! Ped was with me for nearly a third of my life so like I’ve said before, was like I lost a limb when I lost him! If not two!
