I don't know what happened or why because he's been ok all day, but my boy Charlie has died! I was just doing my rounds of making sure all my pets had everything they needed before going up to bed and when I got to him, he was on his side. He's only about 10 months old, way too young :( he was due to be neutered and live a wonderful life surrounded by the ladies and now that's all gone. And my kids hearts are going to be shattered! He must of gone ever so quick as I heard him wheeking just a few minutes before like he usually does as if to say "don't forget to say night to me mum!" I'm so numb and lost right now :soz:

Sorry to hear about it. Like other members I also wondered what happened.
 
I really wish I knew. None of it makes sense, he was a healthy boy in my eyes. Have been up all night thinking over everything and making sure the girls are ok.
 
I’m so sorry for your sudden loss. Without a post mortem you’ll never really know what happened. But it sounds like he had a heart attack or stroke with it being so sudden and unexpected. It’s no consolation at the moment but at least it was quick and he didn’t suffer. I hope your children are ok. It’s very hard losing a loved pet. Hugs to you all.
 
I’m so sorry you have lost Charlie, that must have been an awful shock for you all. Sometimes sadly this can happen with a stroke or heart attack. Hold on to your memories of your sweet boy x

Sudden unexplained deaths are the worst as you have no lead to them and no idea why never happened, just try and remember the amazing life full of love that you gave your guinea pig. Massive hugs once again X
