Thought i'd take some pigtures of the boys in their run, which is actually the floor of their gazebo and measures 11ft x 6ft.
You can just see Huxley on the bottom floor of his hutch because they have to be let out in separate pairs as Wilbur is anti-social LOL

Looks great Nikki and nice and roomy with lots of exciting places to explore dotted about too :)

Thanks. It's definitely stopped the "arguing" between the W's, because they can easily escape from one another.
Any ideas on what else i can put in there? There are 2 tunnels and the underneath of their hutches of course but thats about it. Would cardboard boxes be good? I don't think they're bothered about toys as neither pair bother with their chewy blocks or their willow balls & sticks.

Mine love to play in cardboard boxes and paper bags are a real favourite too if you can get them!

I love the space your boys have Niki - they are very lucky pigs!

Thanks Kate :)

How old should the babies be before i let them into the run?
They seem a bit small at the mo' and are so quick-they're like mini rockets! ;D ;D

My last lot were out at a couple of weeks. As long as it's not too cold for them and they have some shelter it should be fine for them to go out now :)

Thanks Kelly,
It'll sure be one way to keep fit when i try to catch them - they're like a pair of billy whizz's in their hutch - it's hilarious to watch them popcorning from one end to the other ;D

wow that looks such an ace setup for your piggies... Better not show Squeak the pigtures or she may get jealous! hehe ;)

Same with Jovi right now! LOL I can't let him loose in the flat yet as he too is a wriggler! :D

Hi Niki, I've got a similar set up for my 4 girls. I wondered how often you clean them out and what you put on the floor? I've got a 6ft x 8ft shed which is laid down to newspaper, shavings & shredded paper. I'm thinking of giving up the shavings as there seems to be mixed reports about them. I've got a plastic dog bed in the middle which I fill with hay so it can be easily changed & there's also an open hutch on the floor for them to sleep in (but only one does, the rest sleep underneath or in other places). Have also got tubes etc to hide in. Then I've got a pipe which leads from the side of the shed into a 6ft x 2ft hutch outside which is enclosed in a big aviary so when the weather is good I open that hutch & put a ramp down onto the grass. It's a great set up (thanks to husband!). I want to change it a bit, the shed gets too hot in the summer and I need to be able to shut them out in the outside hutch but it's not really big enough so may have to attach yet another hutch! Yours looks best of both worlds as it must be more airy than mine.

Hi Jillybean,
I've just changed their hutches from 2 storey to 1, they've now got 10ft long hutches so i'm no longer going to put them in the run. I've donated it to the baby rabbit
I clean them out every 3-4 days, but check their "wee spots" every day and replace the bedding as needed.
On the floors i use newspaper, a scattering of shavings, then lots of soft shredded straw and of course they have hay in racks (tho' most of it ends up on the floor)
Their hutches are in what was our gazebo but it's been adapted - i have plastic on either end to shield them from the weather and pieces of a fabric shower curtain at their "windows" and door so i can shield them from the sun/wind etc or not :)
