my boys on thier hay ball thingy

about 4 weeks ago i got all my 5 hutchs one of them handing ball things which you can put hay in them or other stuff for them to pull out and eat the 4 boys have never borthed with it untill this moring at about 7.45am it is now half empty

sammy was the first to have a go then archie then rubran the oscor

my 2 girls lilly and poppy's is half empty too which i noticed yestoday

the other 3 cages anit touched theres yet

awww bless. I think it just takes longer for some animals to get used to something new being inside the cages and too realised that it's not going to harm them

Jeremy & Sally, Rolfy & Harris have these in their cages, and they both love them. It's the only thing that gets Jeremy out of bed in the morning when I fill it with special hay. Got to get him to exercise somehow! xx

are these the balls that piggies can use like a nest, or the little ones you put treats in?
i've tried the first one, and all my pigs have loved it when they were babies (when they get older and fatter they get stuck and go off using it haha)
i was tempted to buy one of the smaller treat balls as i need to get them more toys, but i didn't know if they'd like it or not. most toys for guinea pigs seem to be for rabbits too and more suitable for the rabbits, so they're usually a waste of money!

The ones I mean are the metal ones that hang down from the roof of the cage, and you stuff hay in them. They have a little bell hanging on the bottom. Cost about £3.00 each. xx
