My Carpet Has Become The Boys Toilet...

As it says in the title, my carpet has become the boys toilet, for example: Frank left the cage yesterday to pee on my carpet, and then went back in the cage.

So, I need something to remove the smell, that will be safe for them and that can help me clean the carpet.

So if anyone has any ideas, I'd be grateful!

I also use vinegar , but if you can't rinse it out sometimes the vinegar smell lingers a bit. I will use Natures Miracle on my carpets, but I do not know if it is available in the UK.

Bicarb of soda is a good cleaner and smell remover too, but don't mix it with vinager or you'll gas yourself!

Yeah bicarb and vinager mixed together creates Co2 which sends you to sleep! Obviously you'd need copious amounts for an adult lol. Better to keep them separate!

In my little world, guinea pigs and carpets don't mix. When my Guinea Pigs have floor time, it's on lino with fleece and puppy pads placed in strategic positions.

I've added some bicarbonate to my shopping, see if I can get a spray bottle too!

Think I'll have to try and find some designated spots etc! But I'm not sure Frank cares ... Hahaha

Once Edgar and poe peed on the carpet I cleaned it and then put a big fleece over the carpet in that area with a puppy pad underneath... they still go there to pee and wipe their bottoms/ dangleberries of doom when showing off but ob doesn't affect the carpet.

Btw...I used bicarb to clean it intially and it took the colour out so be careful
