...i wasn't going to tell any of you actually.
Just tell maybe a few forum memebers i felt would understand me.
But since the fact that i will disappear from the forum eventually. I might as well just go ahead and tell you all.
Today, i rehomed my guinea pigs. I stopped spending time with them ect. And it weren't fair.
I gave them to my school farm, where they will have areas to roam around with toys, hay and plenty of room.
They have staff and pupils looking after them and are kept away from danger in the shed.
And are let out for runs in the school garden. They are still my guinea pigs, but are now also the schools.
I can pop in as often as i like to see them, and i feel good to know i can still love them, but everyone else can too.
Staff have already fell in love with them, and are beginning to think of names. And today a year 7 girl walked into the
shed, and started picking them up and cuddling them. I felt really happy to know that they are still getting attention
even more here! Next year i have took animal care has a study which means, for school lessons i will be looking after
the animals so i know ill never be far apart from them.
I know theres alot of bitchiness in this forum lately, which is mainly why i've kept away and also didn't want to tell you.
I dont want to sound rude, but i dont care if you're disspointed or not happy with my decisions, they were my guinea pigs
and i did what i thought was best. It took alot of strength to say goodbye to them, and accept the fact i'd failed as
a piggy mum. I might stay on the forum chit chat boards...if I'm welcome.  :-\

Aww that must have been so tough for you. :( I think you made the right choice if you wheren't spending muh time with them to let them be loved by others, only you can say whats right for your piggiesand no one should put you down for aking a hard decision :)

Oh i'm sorry this has happened love, but you've made a decision that was best for you all and for that i admire you O0 :smitten:
I think it's a great idea what you've done, wow they're going to have lots of piggie mummies and the fact that you can still go visit whenever you like, well that should cheer you up :)
BTW you've not failed as a piggie mum, if you had you would never have thought so long and hard to make this decision you would've just dumped them, this you did not do, as i said i admire you for your consideration towards your piggies.
awww big hugs for you don't be down on yourself love :-* :-* :-*

oh, that must have been hard, but i think it was the best decision, that way you can still see them, and they'll get all the attention they need! :smitten: :)

Its ok natnat i expect it was a very hard decision to make, you were very sensable if you were no longer giving them the attention they needed and re homed them responsibly and you still get to see them, hope to still see you around the forum :)

awww that must have been such a heartbreaking decision for you. Please don't feel you have failed cos you haven't. As a mom sometimes the hardest part can be knowing when to let go. You came up with a very good choice which will give a lot of pleasure to a lot of kids. I hope you will stay on the forum as I am sure you will be very welcome :-* :-*

That must have been a very hard decision but a very responsible one. Don't think that you have failed as a piggy mum. The fact that you recognised that you couldn't cope and chose a good home for them means that you didn't fail them. Well done O0

O0 You already know I think you made the right decision ;)

you mad the right decision and you must love them very much to think of them before yourself, hope you can still see lots of them and at least they have lot of room and a warm shed what more could they ask for

Well done for making a hard decision and thinking carefully about where your piggies would be happiest. They sound like they will be happy there. Do you know what will happen in school holidays and such though?

You've been very brave, sounds to me they now have the best of both worlds! :)Look after yourself, and hope you know you are still very welcome!sx

What a wonderful thing you did for your piggies :) they must be very grateful to you for giving them everything they need. :smitten:

And of course your welcome to chat wherever you like. There are a few members without piggies but read up for knowledge and for giving advice :)

Lu x

I think you made the right choice and as you said it is what was best for your piggies and you.

You made the correct choice Nat as if you didn't have time for them it would not be fair on the piggies.

You don't have to leave though.

far better you do that than let them stay neglected in a hutch with no attention, hard choice but you had the strenghth to make it rather than ignore a problem :)

aww natnat... I'm sorry... It must have been a very hard decision, I know I could never do that... I'm not strong enough...

sure your welcome, its great having you around!

I agree with everyone - you made the right choice - it was a really grown up decision to make and you put your piggies first xx
