My cookie's overweight?

I think my Cookie's overweight because she's got a big tummy, both sides bulge out.
But Cookie's one of those big pigs. She was big when i got her from the Pet shop, i got her as a baby but she was still a tad bit bigger than the other one i got. She's about 2 and a half years old now or maybe three.
I'll have to take some photos of her tummy.
Nothing seems to be wrong though, like she doesn't cry when you press on her sides or doesn't have any lumps.

Do you think she may be overweight? or do you have big pigs with bulging tummies lol too?
 
i have a big piggie with bulges. people often say that a piggie can never be overweight, so if she has always been that big, don't worry

put on a photo and we can see her
 
my seem really fat as well
i can understand you being wottied but if everything else is normal then i don't think you need to worry
but yes post some pictures and we'll have a look
 
I have a guinea who is overweight, but she gets the same exercise as the 5 others she lives with, and the same amount of food (as much as I can regulate it anyway) but she's not massively overweight.
The only time you need to worry about it is if the guinea is getting no exercise. You can't really regulate their food because they need to chew almost all the time. Maybe sensible options like - if she eats all her dried food in a day give her lots of hay to fill up on instead of topping up the dried food?
 
Some piggies do seem to be naturally fatter than others, just like people I suppose. If she's otherwise happy then I wouldn't worry too much but be aware fat abdomens can hide other things too.
If she starts loosing weight around her ribs and shoulders but still looks tubby around her middle then it would be worth getting her checked out.
Another thing to look for is if she is breathing more heavily or generally looking a bit more uncomfortable when she's moving about (compare her with your other piggies) which could indicate that something inside is putting pressure on the other organs.
As always, when in doubt , let the vet take a look at her - they should be able to feel all the organs and make sure everthing is OK, shouldn't take them long or cost much.
