Adult Guinea Pig
My little Bailey Boo passed away this morning, and I didn't even get to say goodbye as I'm on holiday
My Uncle said she's been fine, until last night when she wasn't very interested in her food. As soon as he noticed this he called my Veterinary Nurse friend who came and checked her over and said she couldn't see anything but to take her to the vets in the morning if she still hadn't eaten. But this morning, she'd gone.
I'm sure you guys all know how much of a special pig she was after everything she went through, she truely was a little star. I'll never be able to thanks you enough for all of the fundraiding you did to help fund her eye operation when my boss wouldn't pay up, and I'm so glad I decided to keep her rather than take her back to work. She had so much character and I've never known another pig like her.
She always used to run and sit on my shoulder whenever I picked her up, and hide under my hair tickling my neck with her whiskers. It was her favourite place to sit, i don't know why, but she'd stay there for hours!
She was a greedy little pig, loved her oats when she got them, and peppers, too. Even when she had to be given so many antibiotics for so long, she wolfed them down and never, ever showed signs of giving up. She didn't let the fact that she only had one eye stop her!
The hutch is going to be much quieter without my noisy little Bailey there to remind me when it's dinner time (or just to let me know that she wanted attention)
We had such a special bond and it's going to be so hard to go home and not see her little face at the hutch door.
I miss her so much already and it kills me to know I can't even give her a kiss goodnight.
Sweet dreams my darling girl, I'll miss you so much. I'll love you forever xxxxxxxxx
