My beautiful fluffster boy started his trip to the bridge appox 9pm & finally left me at 9.17pm. :'(

I found him looking wobbly last night & took him to the vets today, he'd gone from being constipated to having soft poops in 2 hours the vet felt a blockage, gave him a baytril injection & told me to syringe probiotic every 30-60mins saying the situation was "very guarded" but maybe it would pass, it didn't :'(

I feel terrible that his last hours have been spent force fed water & i hope he knows i did it to help him.

Niki, I am so very sorry, what a gorgeous little man he was.

I'm sure he knew you were helping him, Syrian hamsters are really such trusting little furries and he would have known that his 'mummy' was looking after him.

I think I know how you feel. My guinea pig, Eddie had to be fed in the same manner and I felt terrible that that's the way he spent his last few hours. But we are only doing it in the hope that it will help. So please don't think like that. Run free little Edgar!
 
he knows that you were helping him, Xavier would look at me like i must of hated him when the vet gave him injections, then i'd take him home and give him cuddles and dandelion, he knows that i was trying to make him better.

we get so attatched to our pets, i know how bad i felt letting xavier go.

but it will get easier, eventually. and he'll be up there playing with his friends and watching his mummy.
