Here is my first attempt at Needle Felting. It was supposed to be a guinea pig, but it looks more like a mouse LOL nevermind, practice makes perfect eh? Or so they say. :))XD

I'll try and make it a bit fatter later, sort those eyes out and add some wire legs. On the plus side at least I didn't stab myself too much.

Is anyone else into Needle Felting?

Aww that's fab! I bought a needle felting set a few months ago and only made a couple of things, I've been meaning to have another go at it - maybe I'll dig it back out again soon, give me something to do now the nice weather is dissappearing!

Indeed, Autumn is on it's way already. I really enjoyed stabbing that piece of wool, it was kind of therapeutic, either that or there's something wrong with me. :)) Was a nice break from moulding clay. But I'm back to the Fimo today, best get the oven fired up. :D

it is really therapeutic! I made an owl and a teddy bear before :) I'll let you know when I make something else :D

I fancy giving it a try. I like crafts but never tried this one. I think your guinea pig kinda mouse is cute x

Aw it's lovely! :) Very cute.
I used to enjoy Fimo, but our oven cannot be set low enough any more, it's full-blast or nothing, and I actually found this out by my son making some Fimo models and me putting them in the oven. Next thing I knew there were thick smoky fumes and melted discoloured models! One was of a Birthday cake for his Grandad - it came out looking like a modern-art Picasso version of what could loosely be called a cake, but the smoke - well, I had the windows of the house full open for the rest of the day and we went out to avoid breathing it in!

I seriously think your guinea pig is lovely. Yes I do see a bit of mouse in it, but more piggy than mouse :) And 100% cute :)

Thanks everyone!

Yes I've had some Fimo disasters, especially when trying to find oven proof pens to bake in the oven. After all the accidents I think I'm oven savvy now, but still trying to refine my sculpting and colour blending skills hehee. XD

I think it's lovely. I've never tried needle felting but may give it a go at some point. Well done.

Looks good :-) I've dabble with needle felting, not very good- I tried doing a Guinea pig...looked like a ginger poo:(, then the cat ripped it to shreds, not tried since.

Aww poor piggy. I'm sure it was great! As always it's finding time for these kind of things, I've not really done much to it since I made it as I've been busy with my Fimo projects. I'll have to have another go at it soon and give it some legs and whiskers. :D
