My first pigtures, & bonding success!

Ok here goes my first attempt at uploading pics so fingers crossed it works...
This is my beautiful sheltie boar fudge

As he is neutered I wanted to bond him with my older sows susie & freddie, but unfortunately susie turned out to be a barber :( and within a day he looked like this

Id never even heard of barbering :{ & even accused the hubby of giving him a haircut!
So after a while of trying to make the trio work, I made the difficult descision to move him in with my other two sows tallulah & esmerelda, theyre both young girls so I was worried how theyd react to sharing their home with an old man! Fudge tried his best to impress, showing off all his best dance moves! But the girls soon put him in his place. And they seemed to get on great.

And he may have took over the log cabin but tallulahs showing shes still very much queen of the castle! :))
 
You may find the younger girls will barber him to, it doesn't mean they aren't getting on just that they quite like eating they long strands. It's more frustrating for the owner, the guinea pig's don't tend to mind.

He's a beautiful boy x) x
 
Oh no so he could be doomed to be a short haired piggie forever?! :{
I felt sorry for him when he was with susie & Freddie, because susie would follow him constantly, she seemed to be obsessed with grooming him! ?/

Yup I'm afraid so, piggies just like to eat each other's hair, sometimes they do get bored. As long as they aren't fighting there is no reason to separate.

Thankfully his friend got bored and no longer gives him haircuts.
 
Glad to hear your lovely lad has found some friends.....and I had to laugh at your "showing off all his best dance moves" comment, LOL! x
 
I'd never heard of barbering lol it sounds quite amusing the little .

That log cabin is lovely where is it from?x

Oh they are LOVELY! He reminds me of my Finley x) glad it's all worked out and he has some new wife pigs to keep him company!
 
Pleased the bonding has gone well, hope the piggie hairdressing salon doesn't open again!
