My foster piggie is looking very fat(hope he's not a she)

Had my boar now for a couple of weeks he is looking very fat .. His owner was sold 3 boars and they started fighting they had been together 4 months..
He seems to have slowed down a lot aswell the last few days :-\ he's sleeping a lot more..

How long are piggies pregnant for ?

Hi Karen,

Pigs are pregnant for around 72 days. Have you checked Jack's 'bits' (as Emily would say) maybe post them up if you can.

Hope he is a boy, if not and he is a Jackie and pregnant then give me a yell if you need any help.

It's his back end that looks really big :-\

I find as boars get older they look bigger out back but not on a young pig Eccles is still very slight around his back end. But they are all different I guess. Maybe take a pic of his shape too from the top looking down so we can have a good go at guessing.

hoping jack turns out to be a jack and NOT a jackie. my zoe she is eating has a big butt(i never said that) and she is over 3 years old. perhaps take piggy to vet to get him checked over even if it is just to ease your mind. good luck and let us know how you go. sending hugs and cuddles :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: and the girls send :-* :-* :-* jack might even be a jackie chan? :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
