I took on my first pair of foster guinea pigs on Friday and they are settling in well!
I'm fostering for Crawley Guinea Pig Rescue who I fundraised for late last year.
I have taken on two nervous boys named Basil and Brush! :)) They are very shy/don't like to be picked up, but once they're in your arms they're fine. They're quite inquisitive too you just have to be very calm and slow around them. Hopefully after some time here with my noisy lot they'll come out of their shell, but as you'll see in the video they are quite cheeky already when left to their own devices.

So Basil is the cream/white crested

And Brush is the tan/white/lilac crested

Beautiful aren't they?! Here's a video of them pottering about in the run.

Sadly its thought they may be in foster care for a while as they have red eyes :(
I think they're adorable.

aww bless them, they are gorgeous. I dont really get the red eye thing to be honest. Really hope they find a home soon xx

Pink eyes ginger and lilac all my favourite piggie colours together *swoon

x) x)

They are very zoomy in that video. Hope they find their new homes soon

Sadly Baz and now Tom (Formally known as Basil and Tomato) are still looking for their forever home :(

They have not had a single enquiry!

They are now very different guinea pigs. Baz is a veerryy cheeky chappy. He knows how to push his luck! For example, each pair of pigs have a litter tray with their hay in (as I have them on fleece and this keeps it off there). I like to put the tray underneath the water bottle to prevent it dripping on the fleece. Baz doesn't want it there .. ever.. he will pick the tray up with his teeth and drag it around the cage. Usually, he'll drag it to his hammock so he can either sit on or under the hammock and munch!

These two will always be up at the bars if there's any sign or noise of food. Basil also comes up just for a nose rub sometimes. Tom is a little shyer and doesn't typically like strokes until he's out of the cage and settled.. then he will fall asleep on your lap. I think it's just the 'big scary hand' he can't get over.

I really hope that these guys get the home they deserve. They have very big loveable personalities.

I'm planning to move house next year and my mum has said that if they don't find a home by the time I move she would like to keep them :) She's very fond of them - and so am I. But once I move I don't think I'll be able to foster anymore. :(

I hope that they can find a home soon!

They look very much right down my alley (or rather my Ginger Army), if I were to have boars and I didn't already have all the piggies I can cope with!

My Mum and Dad are adopting these two rolleyes

I'm so happy for them :) They do seem very settled where they are so they will be happy!

Aww happy ending! Glad the boys have a home with your parents. =)
Don't see the problem with red eyes. They are my favourite eye colour on a piggie. I have one with the brightest red eyes and I'm sure I creep him out by staring in them cooing how beautiful his eyes are. :))

I'm so glad they have a forever home :) I dont understand the red eye thing either. I think all three of mine have red eyes.
