My Four Down To Two Piggies :'(

Hello! I used to have 4 piggies, Miffy, Buffy, Paffy and Ruffy. But lost Buffy on 30/8/14 and Ruffy on 17/9/14. For now I just want nothing to happen to Miffy and Paffy. Cant afford to lose anymore..anyway I noticed Asian Piggy ears are not droppy so less adorable [emoji13]

Oh my goodness they're gorgeous! So photogenic, I love the slippers by the way! Really cheered me up.
I'm so sorry you lost Buffy and Ruffy.

Hehe thank you! love them to bits but [emoji20] its ok I believe they are both in a better place mowe chasing butterflies and rainbow

That is very interesting to see that your girls have different ears. I did not realise guinea pigs could look different depending on were they are from. They are no less adorable at all. They are beautiful.

What lovely piggies! Very sorry for your loss! We have got a Rainbow Bridge section where you are welcome to post a special tribute to Buffy and Ruffy anytime you wish to share your loss with understanding people.

The droopiness of the ears depends largely on the size/weight of the piggies; smaller piggies have got more upstanding ears. ;)
 
They are beautiful pictures , but then they do have the most lovely looking girls in them,- my first love are piggies a very close 2nd is shoes - so the best pic for me is Buffy and her matching shoe--Gorgeous

Thank you! I'm so smitten with them [emoji7] its okay Ive learnt to let go and think positive that I still have loads of happy memories and pigtures of Buffy N Ruffy [emoji4]

Yea Piggyfan, ive noticed a difference in their ears long ago and wonder why mine aint droppy. Yup I still love them loads!

My dear Wiebke! I really cannot thank you enough for the help you've provided in the paSt few days! Really appreciate all of you so very much! And yes they sure are lovely! I'm pretty ready now so perhaps i'll be posting in rainbow section soon [emoji4]..ive posted on a guinea pig tribute page on facebook on the very day of their passing and reading what I posted really brought alot of pain to me. yes with lotsa support and love from the understanding people here I really managed to walk out of my grieve and am less paranoid over the fear of losing miffy and paffy.

Miffy is 900g and Paffy 800g and I wonder why dont they get bigger [emoji17] is it an Asian thing again? Like we are mainly short? [emoji19] and if its really due to their size id really like to know what can be done to fatten them up. I read long ago that rolled oats may be of help but they dont seem to fancy that also I noticed again (for a second time in 2-3 days) that there's little specs (1 or 2) of crust on Paffy's eyes. But shes still got loads of energy in her bursting into short sprints like mad horse in her cage as usual. So I pray its not the beginning of something bad again [emoji20] i'll try to get some photos of it as each time I see it I will rush to wipe it off and realise later I shouldve taken a photo to show yall. I hope I wont get to see it a third time. God bless all!

Dear Sara412, thank you and yes that pair of heels really reminds me of Buffy. Sometimes when I'm wearing that pair ill just say "mummys gonna take buffy out for a walk" how pathetic is that [emoji17]
 
Some guinea pigs are small. My boar is 956 g and elderly sow is 772g. As long as they have unlimited hay you are doing the right thing.
 
Gorgeous piggies, really great photos, they are so photogenic aren't they. Thanks for sharing!

[emoji53] okay thank you! I do not give alot of hay but enough for them to eat until the next top up, usually in the morning. I never have a pig thats above 1kg [emoji20]

Guinea pigs diet needs to be 80% hay. They should have access to hay at all times. I give mine three types of hay for variety. They have eaten a lot more since I offered more choice.

I only give western timothy hay and is trying to introduce different hay to them [emoji9]
