Then, Jan 15th 2011, after a month in the rescue

I adopted Fitz in January, he was 15 months old but only 750g, and his fluff was quite thin really. He came into rescue with Weibke's Tani and one of Sue G's sponsor piggies Jasper (who we think may be his brother as they're the same age and look a bit alike) so has some connections on here, this is him now

He's 1100g, so has gained 350g, and his hair is so thick and fuzzy and he's such a huge cuddle monster x)x) he loves it when my daughter goes round the garden and selects the best dandelions for him to nibble on :))

Fitz looks ever so gorgeous now!

Most of the six boys Tani came with were ever so underweight and malnourished! Jasper himself was very close to dying; Jo and I both doubted whether he could pull through; all credit to Jo for working a miracle with him!

Tani was thankfully only a week in that person's place; to her eternal luck, she turned out to be too skittish and wiggly for her previous owner's taste who was planning to breed her.

thanks all, they're all lovely, but Fitz is my cuddle monster, he's so fluffy and soft and will snuggle for ages- Roy is a Rex and also has a lush coat, but doesn't really like cuddles :))

Awww. Beautiful pictures x) Your daughter looks so 'in love' with Fitz too.

He does look a chunky man now doesnt he. He's gorgeous.

Thanks for posting, it really cheers me up to see happy pictures :)

Awwwwwww Fitz, just gorgeous x) what beautiful photos :)

What a beautiful boy! He looks a bill of health now hellsbells, well done to you for getting him as he always should have been! x)x)drooldrool

Thanks all- I'd never have had him and Roy if I hadn't joined here after losing my last boys- Wiebke pointed me in their direction and Jo at Cheylesmore Rescue was so, so lovely, (and I then ended up getting Charlie and Dinky through her too) and everyone on here has contributed to their care through advice etc- so I totally owe my lovely piggies to this forum x)

Both my children are besotted with the piggies, my daughter has an imaginary piggy that lives under her bed called Ham, and they both go around the garden collecting dandelions in little buckets for the boys then bring them to me to check there's nothing inedible in there - this is Fitz and Roy earlier being given the kid's offerings!

Worn out from the exertion of being presented with hand picked food- it's no wonder they're piling weight on!
