My girls don't appear to be eating much hay?

So I'm cutting down their veggies a bit and just giving them enough pellets to cover the bottom of their bowls (one up and one in the run)

Or should I remove one bowl altogether and just use one up in the hutch itself? They are free to go down to their run anytime via a ramp which they all use happily.

Their run is on grass and I have seen them all eating grass at one point or another. I have also seen them nibbling hay. But not loads.

Should I be concerned or could it all be part of the settling in process as they're only about 13 or 14 weeks old.

Most pigs prefer grass to hay, so if they have a lot of access to grass it's normal that theu eat less hay.

You could try them on different types of hay to see if that makes any difference :)

I wouldn't bother trying a different hay. Grass versus hay on offer is comparable to a fabulous Sunday lunch with all the trimmings versus a plate of corned beef and celery. Both will fill you up but.........
