My girls don't like their new cage!

Hi there, I'm hoping that someone can give me some advice?

We brought a nice new hutch with an attached run for our piggy's about a month ago. They previously had a single hutch and i put them into their run daily.

However, they don't use the run! They stay in their hutch everyday, only venturing out of the enclosed bit to eat! They have a ramp leading down to the run, but they just don't use it.

They've gone from being active and bouncy to being complete recluses!

What do i do to get them out?

have they ever used a ramp before mabe they have not mastered how to walk up and down it yet?
 
you could put there veggies out in the run to try and encourage them to

come out and use the ramp?

i am sure they will come round to the idea with some veggie treats to

show them the way!

place the veggies down the ramp maybe?
 
I've seen a fab idea on this forum, but I can't remember where. They used a tunnel to get their piggies down the 'scary' ramp - and it worked. There's a picture of it somewhere too...sorry to be so useless!
 
and now I have asked them to make me 4 more snuggle sacs I already have 4 and 2 beds! (must stop looking :)) )
 
Yey thats my hutch in the thread and on Cosy Cavies website :)):)):))

My piggies were little devils and refused to use the tunnel. Helen at Cosy Cavies had already made me a Snuggle-00 so I emailed her and asked if she could make a tunnel.

I knew they would use it as they love the snuggle-oo, and its been absolutely fab, they just love it and it only cost me £15 bargain!

It was custom made, Helen is very clever and my piggies adore the snuggle-00 she made so I knew that would love the tunnel, they popcorn whilst running through it and 100 mph!
