Septimius has a dark colored sore above his bum area, and it seems that tiberius has been chewing at it today. Should I seperate them to keep that from happening, I'm gonna schedule a vet appointment tomorrow, but I need to know what I can do at this immediate moment in time.

Are you sure it's a sore and not a dirty grease gland?

I was wondering if it is his grease gland too, though they can get infected. Please could you post a photo?

if it is infected though and his cage mate is chewing it, it would be best to separate until it is under control, but try to do it so they can still see each other.

I'll take a pic in a moment, and I'd taken a warm wet cloth and wiped it and it was still there also the way the cage is set up is that its two store bought cages connected together, so all I'd have to do is bring down one of the metal sides.
