so last night my parents found out my guinea pig was peeing blood and we were going to take him to the vets last night but it was to late so this morning I checked on him and I see no wee at all so I keep checking on him and there still is no wee but he is pooping and eating ,drinking fine what should I do

Please get your piggy to the vets, he needs to be checked over

Ouchy, poor pig!
:agr:
He needs a vet ASAP, he may have a UTI or stones! Hopefully they can help him and ease any discomfort he is having. Good luck

Thank you I have told my mum and dad and they said nothing by I will ask my dad to phone up the vets tonight I hope they do cause I'm really worried about him cause I can see he has changed and his behaviour is different

Also he is very puffed up and he rumbles when ever I stroke down near his bum

He's also very sleepy please tell me if any of these are normal cause I'm really worried about my pig he's only 2

He really needs to see a vet being fluffed up and sensitive to the touch are signs of pain. If he is unable to pee it is a medical emergency. Are your parents able to come on here and read your thread?

Hi and no my parents aren't able to come and read the thread but I have screenshoted it and sent it to my dad to read and I will show him this one cause I now it's an emergency and last night I thought the worst I was going to loose him so I stayed awake most of the night keeping an eye on him

Yes and last night we took him up the vets and they gave us medicine and said he has an infection so if he doesn't wee today till 5 then we have to take him back and there going to do more test

So your piggie has seen a vet, and is on medication now?
What has the vet given him?
Did the vet take an x-ray to check for stones?

If he is not peeing and in pain this morning, it sounds like he may need a different type of medication.
Is he on any form of pain relief like Metacam?

In the meantime try to make sure he is still eating and drinking.
Giving him veggies that have been well rinsed and are still a bit 'wet' will elp insure he is getting fluids.
You can also try offering him fresh grass or mashing his regular pellets up with some hot water and syringe feeding them to him.

Yes he got metacam and baytril but he's going back to the vet cause he isn't peeing

Sending healing vibes, hopefully the vet can get to the bottom of his urinating problem!

How did he get on at the vet tonight?
I really hope they can diagnose the problem for both of you.

Hi the vets went good they squeezed his bladder and loads of watery pinkish reddish stuff came out and he had medication twice a day and we believe he's getting better
