My three year old Guinea pig is hardly eating. I been to three different vets with her one "small animals specialist " She is on antibiotics and pain killers for more than a week now. She is on recovery food, I'm feeding her with strange. The vet took an x-try under general anaesthetic to check her teeth n they said they are fine only back teeth canals look a bit unclear but he sounded unconvinced and gave her antibiotics to continue and said " let's hope it will heal whatever it is "
She is hungry picks up food and chews n chews tiny grass but the food comes out her mouth unchewed and he gives up and lots of fluids like saliva with the syringe food is leaking from her mouth...like she is not swallowing... keep stretching her jaws and opening mouth.
What else could be wrong? Any advice? Anyone else had this?
