My guinea pig eats alottt!

Hi guys,
So I have two precious piggies name popcorn and butters.
Now, popcorn is already a little chunky (fat haha). But he also wheeks alot. For example I walk into my room and right when he hears the door open he starts going crazy. I've been thinking it's because he is hungry but I feed both him and butters a good food schedule. Plus, hes already alittle fat. I cant tell if hes hungry, or if maybe that's the way he is and hes just more talkative. I dont know...
Can I get some help!?

This is perfectly normal behaviour, wheeking is how they communicate. Piggies will beg for food, it’s what they do to train us humans! Please don’t think your piggy is fat unless your vet has said he is overweight though.
Always ensure that they have a constant supply of fresh hay available, and then they will not be hungry. The need to eat a lot of hay to stay healthy

hey its normal lol they wheek everytime i walk past them or even if they hear my voice sometimes they just relate u with food but mine also sometimes wheeks just for attention lol its normal dont worry

My lot wheek and tell my they are starving and haven't been fed in eleventy billion years just after I have fed them! Its perfectly normal behaviour. Just keep to your normal feeding regime.

The way to check is a piggy is overweight is by feeling the heft. Details of how to do this is in this guide Weight - Monitoring and Management.

Mine wheek every time I go past their cage and every time ANYBODY goes past their cage....just incase the unsuspecting huuman feels sorry for them and feeds them a snack
