My Guinea Pig Has A Growth And Was Wondering If Anyone Had Any Possible Answers!

He's about a year old and it just started recently. I was wondering if it was something that I should be concerns about.

That looks as though it could be fungal, that'll definitely need a vet trip for some medication to stop it before it gets worse.

Good on you for catching it early! Hope he gets better soon :)
 
It does look like a fungal infection, and he will need to be seen by a vet and prescribed some antifungal cream to get it to clear up. Hope this helps!
 
urgs I came home from holiday to find this kind of thing on Lily (though slightly more advanced as there are several small bloodied scabs). After getting on top of ringworm for Daisy another of the four has it. I have some anti fungal steroid based ointment from the vet to apply twice a day and have also ordered some imaverol online to dip all the pigs in to try and prevent it spreading. If you don't have F10 disinfectant then I would recommend getting some as its important to kill off the spores to prevent spread/recurrence.
