My guinea pig has 'Pea Eye'

My older guinea pig has got 'Pea eye'.
Ive been told that is is harmless and does not require any treatment.
Will it clear up in time? And is there anything i can do to make his eyes more comfortable in the mean time?

heres a thread about it.
One of my piggies has pea eye/fatty eye and it doesn't bother him at all.
Sometimes it's more noticable than others.
If you are worried, I would see a vet, but as long as there are no other symptoms, i wouldnt worry.

I have one sow who is developing a pea eye, but there are no other problems.

Once they have pea eye or fatty eye it doesn't go. Its harmless and 99% of the time shouldn't cause a problem. I've had several pigs with pea eye and if anything it adds more character

My Sow Mocha has this and the vet said she was fine when I took her for her last check up - not caused her any problems.
