My guinea pig is dying

Also, she just ate some strawberry, some banana, and a little bit of critical care. I’m going to go pick some more weeds and grass.

Please note that as a UK forum we do not support home treating with treatments that have not been recommended or discussed with your vets. This is particularly so for CBD oils or creams.

Please do NOT try any treatment unless you have first spoken to a vet. Even if you have seen it advocated by US rescues this is not a treatment of choice in the UK. The forum stance is that treatment should only be provided by or approved by a qualified veterinary surgeon after an examination.

Please be aware that LAGPR are not vets. We just don’t know enough about the effects of CBD oil or cream on piggies and we have to stay on the right side of the law.

Yes , her teeth could have grown back ...... I have a dental pig who needs 4 weekly trims at the moment ...... when did the vet advise her next check up should be ?

they didn’t tell me I should come back... should I try to look at them? I don’t think I can do that without instruments though.

Please don’t attempt any dental examination or dental work yourself. Only the vets should do that.
 
I hope she's doing okay. Being a worried parent is never easy. You're doing all you can and she must know how loved she is. You're doing great.
 
Update: sorry I haven’t posted for a few days. So she’s pretty much the same, really nothings happened. I’m just feeding her now and I can see that her poop is really thin, what does that mean? I’m going to try to start feeding her even more, I’ve kind of just been hand feeding her like 3-4 times a day, and only giving her what she wants, but I feel like she needs more. So I’ve started syringe feeding her critical care, just about a large tablespoons worth. I’ve also been making some diy treats just so I can get her to eat something. All my guinea pigs are tired of my homemade treats now though :/ the Sherwood food should be here on Thursday.

My dad found her dead this morning. I wish I could have been there with her, I should have been there with her. If I had just sexed my one guinea pig properly if still have her and if still have Pancakes too. I’m sorry this wasn’t a good outcome. Thank you everyone for the nice words throughout all this.
