I woke up this morning And went to feed my pigs and when I got there the bottom cage door was open so I looked inside and I saw that one pig was missing the whole day I’ve been searching for my guinea pig I can’t find her I’m seeing big clumps of hair but no actual part of the guinea pig or any blood I don’t know what to do please give me some advice

BIG HUGS

I am very sorry!

If you are finding large clumps of hairs, then is sadly very likely that your piggy has been carried off by a predator.
Please follow @Lady Kelly 's tips for the slim chance that your baby has escaped alive.

Please bring your remaining piggy indoors as the hutch is clearly not safe and whoever has taken away your girl is highly likely to return for your other one. :(
Here is a link to tips on what you can do for your remaining girl, as she will be very shocked:

Did you not bolt the door shut? I cant see how a predator could open a door. Unless it was already open or flimsy. Do you live in u.k or somwhere else?

I always put the covers down on my hutch so the bolts are not accessible. Has your hutch got covers? Sorry to hear you have lost your piggy

I’m so sorry but as previous posts suggest, it is highly likely that your girl has been carried away by a predator :( Could there be a chance that you didn’t close the hutch door properly? If you’re definitely sure that you did, please bring your remaining pig(s) indoors as the hutch is obviously not safe. Where are you located? xx
