hello :)
I have a guinea pig for almost a year. in the past month or so, He started pulling out his own hair. we went to the vet, he doesn't have any mites or something like that.. the vet said that maybe he is allergic to something and gave me a medicine but it doesn't help :(
he mainly pulling out hair from his chest, and from his legs.
he eats good food, vegetables an etc, have fresh water and a very big cage.
did this happened to anyone here?
please I'm so worried :(
thank you!

I agree it could be boredom if he lives on his own or it may be a pain response.

Are you in the UK or overseas?

Is he eating and pooing ok?

Is he drinking water normal. Is he active, does he have a friend.

thank u for the reply!
I just got him a new friend few days ago, He's eating and active and everything seems normal. He poops normal.. I changed his bedding from cats best to fleece because I thought he might be allergic to it.
I took closer look at him and saw something the vet didn't.. he has tiny tiny dots attached to his fur next to his back legs, looks like lice eggs, but he has no lice. when I pulled some of them off, they moved on my hand.. we are going to the vet again today, but is someone know what can it be?
thanks!
