Hello i am new to this site but i hope to get some advise (English is not my first language so i hope i dont make to many spelling mistakes)

I have a 2month old guinea pig and she is not moving at all, she will eat ig i hold her and pit foot right to her mouth, and she will also drink if i pick her up and pit the water bottle to her mouth...
but she wont move at all, she does not make any sounds except when i am picking her up, she lets out a lil whimper like she is in pain...

and then she just lays limp in my hand.

i am so scared that she is dieing and that its my fault, she has been doing this for 2 days now,
i just put new kinda bedding in her cage (aspen soft wood) and just bought new food.

I tried to put a harness on her 3 days ago, but she didnt like it, and i am afraid i broke her leg or something, i wasnt hard handed with her, but she just wont move....

Can anyone help me ?

Do you have any idea what could be wrong with her ?

Please see a vet asap. An injury to the spine is most likely.

Sadly, those harnesses are OK for ferrets, but guinea pigs don't have a flexible enough spine to cope with them and they can do serious harm!

:(
why would a pet store sell harnesses for a guinea pig, if they are not safe....God i am so sad :(

That's awful. Poor piggie. Get to the gets As soon as possible. Hope they get better. X

Sorry you seem to have a poorly piggy on your hands. I agree it's important that you get your pig to the vets. If she has injured herself or is poorly then she may be in a great deal of pain.

Hopefully it is something they can sort out but it's not worth waiting in case your piggy goes down hill.

I hope all goes ok *hugs* xx

We cannot advise what is wrong with your Guinea Pig, you must get her seen but a Vet. If she has a broken bone she maybe in a great deal of pain, I would highly recommend calling the Vet now and getting her seen ASAP.

Because pet shops are interested in making money, not in animal welfare - the same goes for many of the animals themselves and the treats they sell! Our pregnancy section is full of pet shop "surprises"...
