it sounded like a cough/hiccup, but sounded a bit 'wet'.
is he okay?!?!

sounds like a sign of a respiratory infection, i think he needs to go to the vets hun, if you've caught it early enough he'll probably just need a course of baytril or something x

he's just done it again :(
he's only 12 weeks old, and i've only had him two days, and it's the first time i've heard him do it, and his brother seems to be fine?
reckon its worth me taking them both?

he's been eating and drinking a lot in the past 20 minutes?
could he just be burping?

It is really hard to know what it is without hearing it. If it was a kind of gagging noise it just means he ate fast and is clearing his throat. If it is the way he is breathing then he may be unwell. How is he now? Try listening to him breathing.

he seems to be breathing fine, i got him out and had a cuddle and he was fine.
you know on the cage i've got? the pets at home indoor one? there's the ledge, underneath is their bed, and their bowl is up there?
well neither of them have quite worked out the concept of using the steps, i've moved their nugget bowl to the lower level as they weren't eating it, and i put some fresh veg up there to try and encourage them to get up there.
i've noticed its whenever jerome goes to get the veg on the upper level, he doesn't use the steps. just drags him self halfway then grabs a piece and lets go...then he coughs?
is he winding himself? or stretching too far? or simply being a little piggie and eating when he doesn't need anymore?!

Oh dear that sounds a bit concerning. Does he cough each time he eats or just when he stretches and eats? Is there any chance you could get them a c and c cage? I know lots of people have levels on here but I do not really like them myself.

he's not been doing it all the time he gets it, and he's not eating while he's stretching, he's grabbing on to the piece he wants and drags it down with him.
i'm putting them not being able to get up the steps because they're too small?
if when they're bigger they still struggle, i'll look in to a c&c cage.

Well you do not want him to struggle. Is there any way you can remove the upper layer?

i've moved all the fresh veg down to the bottom layer, and will get a pigloo when i am next out, working for the next couple of nights :(
but for now, there is nothing on top, and don't want to remove that layer just yet as that is their bed underneath

I would suggest a wooden cabin. Much nicer then a pigloo and they can gnaw it on their teeth too. You have to get two though as they may not want to share. Two of everything stops fights. For now you can use a cardboard box and cut a hole in for them to climb in and out. If you put a fleece in it will last longer.
