My Guinea Pig Scratching A Lot.

Hi this is my first post.

I have two male guinea pigs that I've had for about four weeks. One is 11weeks old and the other is a year old. I've noticed recently that they have started scratching a lot more so the younger one seems to be doing it a lot. Does this mean they have mites? I also noticed strange marks on the younger ones leg not sure if this is from scratching. I've checked there skin and it looks fine apart from the leg. I will try and attach a photo of it.

The best thing to do is take them to the vets for a diagnosis and treatment. @helen105281 will be able to advise more.

I agree, a vet visit is needed for a diagnosis. It could be mites, lice or even fungal. Have a look at our recommended vets locator.
