Junior Guinea Pig
Hi! I have had my guinea pigs for about 4 weeks or so and they are two months old. I know guinea pigs are prey animals so its makes sense that they are scared of me but yesterday they weren't scared of me at all. These past 4 weeks have been going really good, and yesterday Igby went onto my lap and slept for awhile but now she runs away when I pass her cage. My other guinea pig Petunia who has always been the more skittish one inst different at all. :/ It just feels that Igby went two steps backwards and I really don't want to try to make her trust me again for 2 more weeks. Whenever I clean their cage I put them in a playpen, I usually transport them from their cage to the playpen with a tunnel. Today Igby would not go inside the tunnel, she was avoiding it so I picked her up instead. After that she wouldn't look at me, maybe that's the reason? I mean I have picked her up before I don't know why it would be so horrible now. I also sat with them for awhile and they just hid in their hut, they never did that before! If anyone has any ideas why shes scared all of a sudden or how to make her trust me again please let me know.
