Its the first time ive seen him do it, he was in my room, it looked like he was cleaning himself, but on a closer look each time he was pooing he was pulling it out and eating it.
He only did it three times adn its the last time ive seen him do it.
Has anyone elses guinea's done this?!

It's quite normal behaviour...they need to reingest some of their poo to get all their nutrients from it.

"Guinea pigs are coprophagic, a long word used to describe the reingestion of certain faecal pellets which for some animals is a perfectly normal part of their digestive systems." taken from Peter Gurney Guinea pig health guide

It is the only gross thing I find in my piggies, but I still love them!x) Imagine what they think of us. And they flush it through pipes in their house? Yuck! That is what they would think if they knew.

If you think that's gross I'm guessing you haven't cleaned his sac yet.
The things we do for our piggies rolleyes

haha no havent had the pleasure of cleaning his 'sack' yet.
Glad its normal thought my guinea was being a freak.!/:{

Because Piggys are herbivores I don't really see it as 'poo' so I don't find it disgusting. I don't really like to see my dog eating them though! rolleyes

My dog absoluntley loves Their poo, cant get enough of it.
Maybe i should just give him a bowl of that instead of his biscuits. :(|)

You'll grow to love their poops when you find them in your shoes and all sorts of places.
I just collect them up all now as the little devils are great shot putters (yes, I said shot ;)) and spot them pinging across the room the speed of a rocket :(|)

If you think thats bad I have a boar that I have had since he was 3 weeks old and he NEVER drinks - the only thing he drinks is one of his wifepigs wee asfter she spurts him in the face when he is trying to hump her and she is having none of it :)>>>

Ohh - which one ?- the Abby (my Boar Bumble ) the roan (honey ) or the Amy winehouse lookylikey Bee (ridgeback himmy cross )

errrr I have no idea on breeds lol but the 1 back left :))

Ah,thats Bee (camembert as she used to be called ) - she is one of my spayed sows from Tracy at Rugby - I only know that she is a ridgeback cross because thats what was written on my adoption papers lol - she is a real sweety - the only one of my piggies that will actually sit still and let me pick her up without using a cosy or chasing her around the cage for ages.
