My guinea pigs are chewing on the tunnels

I’ve never noticed before but today I saw my piggies chewing on the tunnel I added which they seem to love, is it because the tunnel is made of strawsQwQ the tunnel has lots of hole and I temporarily removed it, does anyone have a similar problem or suggestions

Piggies will chew anything if they get the chance

Guinea pigs will chew anything they can get their teeth onto. As long as it is made of a safe item - cardboard, wood or hay (straw isn’t safe for piggies - isn’t too sharp for them) then it’s fine. It will need to be thrown away and replaced once they’ve destroyed it though!

Perfectly normal behaviour for a piggy
