My two girls don't really eat a lot of hay, they nibble on it throughout the day but not a lot. Sometimes they'll sit around their hay rack and eat quite a lot. But I only need to top up their rack every three days and this doesn't seem like a lot of hay to me. I'm currently giving them Hay for Pets Meadow Hay but I also have Oxbow and they just don't really eat a lot of either. What should I do?

Big pile of hay they can hide in and, if they are fully grown, pellets for only half the day.

Mine didn't eat a lot of hay, so I changed them onto a different one to see if they preferred it. They are now on Woodlands Timothy Hay with Carrot and Apple. They LOVE it, and I've got to top up their hay a lot more regularly. They get so excited when they can smell/see me topping it up. Wheeking and popcorning around LOADS! Its so cute to watch.

When I used hay racks mine did not eat as much. Now I place hay in a big pile for them to play in and they eat more. I get mine from hay for pets.

I placed a big mound of hay in their cage and they've been nibbling on it loads! The girls like to stick their faces in and pull out several long strands :p

keep trying different types/makes untill you find one that they really like, my local shop sells over 18 different hays so plenty of choice here;)
