My guinea-pigs in the run today

I made some new toys for the guinea-pigs, just simple things really, but I'm quite proud of them and the guinea-pigs seem to love them.

I put a cardboard box in Kiki and Barry's run and stuffed it with grass


I pegged a piece of fleece (it says it would be a good size for small dogs to lay on, I think it looks to small for that) to the side of the hutch and they hide behind it and when it's sunny I hope they'll use it as a place to get shade

And I cut holes in a box, put loads of grass in it and hung it from the top of the girls' run, I didn't make it hang off the ground too much in case they couldn't reach it.

I want to make more toys for them now, are there any toys I could make out of something that could be laying round the house like a box or something?

Isnt it amazing the fun piggies can have with a carboard box. That should keep them very well entertained. They just love hiding in boxes and running through tunnels. Very resourceful. Well done you!

Well done - it is amazing how much fun piggies can have with so simple things! Any boxes are great. Also if you happen to have any wood offcuts, you can build little hurdles and obstacles with them.

Thank you. Tommorow I want to make them a little platform with steps, I don't know how much luck I'll have though. They still had loads of grass left in their toys when I had to put them back in their hutches so I emptied the grass into their hutch they're now hiding in grass and hay lol
