Junior Guinea Pig
Hi my guinea pigs both keep sneezing alot. Sometimes they are little ones but sometimes they are big loud ones. Does anyone know how to get rid of it or what it could be. Thanks!

First thing is to check what bedding they're on ?
Shavings/sawdust could be the issue or the hay could be dusty...
Check for any wet noses, runny eyes or wheezing as this indicates a respiratory infection needing immediate treatment from your vet

all the bedding is dust extracted and they usually sneeze when there not in the hutches and thankfully they don't have runny noses or watering eyesFirst thing is to check what bedding they're on ?

My Guinea Pig keeps wheezing and Sneezing
Hi,
My Guinea Pig Jinnny has started to wheeze and sneeze quite a bit and I am not sure whether it is a chest infection. I don't think it is the straw or sawdust because I have used ever since I got her and she has been fine. I put her outside on the grass but will this make it worse?

They can and do get hay fever... Machu sneezed a fair bit when I first brought him home from the (*shudder*) pet shop, and I was terrified it was a respiratory infection. I think it was just getting used to the bedding. Even dust-extracted isn't going to be 100% dust free after all. He grew out of it after a couple of weeks and has seemed fine ever since.
