Hello all, I've had 2 Male guineas for about 7 months now. They are always wheeking as soon as I open the door or they hear rustling of food bags. However they have been very quiet for a couple of days. They have eaten and are drinking, maybe a little less than usual but they have been very quiet which is unlike them. They look healthy, bright eyed and are still active. Any ideas?

Are your boys indoors or outdoors piggies? And which country are you in?
Until we know more about the background/climate in which you are keeping your piggies, we cannot help you any further. We have members and enquiries from all over the world with very different climates, backgrounds, vet/rescue access and brand names. Please always switch from the usual weekly weigh-in to weighing daily at the same time if something is not quite right. Keep in mind that over 80% of the daily food intake should be hay; something you cannot control by eye, so it is easy to miss a considerable weight loss in short time without the help of normal kitchen scales. This is your first line of defence in order to monitor the actual food intake.
