Senior Guinea Pig
The hay I have at the minute isn't very nice. I didn't realise how un-green it was when I got it!
Anyway I decided to treat them to some excel herbage whilst the other hay is used up as bedding. Anyway I only have about 2 days worth of the herbage left and haven't got round to getting some better hay.
Today I decided to mix the herbage and existing meadow hay together to make it last a bit longer. I put it in the hay racks, I did a layer of herbage on bottom and then meadow, then herbage.
When I got home from work both cages had a line of hay suspended in mid air in the middle of the hay racks (the meadow stuff) I don't know how both pairs managed it but it stayed exactly where it was and they had eaten all the herbage from above and below
I'm going to have to source some better hay asap!
