I'm so sorry for your loss. Thimble was an extremely special hamster indeed. He will never be forgotten.
What a beautiful tribute to him. Thinking of you.

Blossom, my Syrian hammy is only around 16 months but just a few weeks ago I nearly lost her. The cold weather was obviously affecting her (even though I keep her away from the windows and my room is always just warm enough) and I thought I only had a few short hours left with her. Fortunately, after being fed bread soaked in milk, cheese and lots of food to fatten her up she has recovered. She is losing some hair but it is because of old age. I just treat every day as if it is her last, making sure that whatever time we have left together is the best that we can make it.

It's so amazing how such small creatures only living short lives can touch our hearts in this way. They truly are amazing.

RIP Thimble, scamper free over the bridge little one. Sleep peacefully. You will never be forgotten.
