So it's been 6 weeks since I lost 4 of my 6 guinea pigs and it's been tough! But each day hurts a little less. My 2 that I still have are being spoiled rotten, new cage, moved from shavings to vetbed. They seem to be very vocal again, so I guess they are moving on too. Guinea pig cuddle therapy certainly helps the healing

I am glad that you are recovering from your tragedy and that your remaining two are well and thriving. Grieving is unfortunately a slow process that you cannot hurry on and there is only so much that your soul can process at any time.

Good that you are channeling your energy into improving your remaining piggies' lives; it also gives you a positive aspect!
You can never undo what has happened in the past, but you can carry your love forward and make a difference to others. I find that this kind of legacy helps me most in the longer term to especially cope with the more upsetting losses. I imagine my past piggies as little furry guardian angels looking our for my current piggies, but that is just a visual symbol of what is going on. I always carry them in my heart, and what they have taught me inspires my future care.

Thankyou! I follow your tribe on Facebook, your piggies are all gorgeous! X

Thank you! It is hard to believe that they are all second-, third- or even fourth-hand piggies...

Time is a great healer, and as @Wiebke says, it's good to channel your energies into the remaining piggies. With every experience we learn something new and our piggies benefit from it. Would love to see pics of the girls.

Massive hugs, grief is a complex thing, please make sure you are kind to yourself x x
