Adult Guinea Pig
But do not fear, all are well in the piggy household!
Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I posted a piggy update and I hope everyone had a great holiday period with their piggies!
As the title says there has been a change in my herd! Tess has come indoors after a few months of separating her off every so often (with company) to make sure she was getting enough to eat. She passed an MOT from the vet with almost flying colours; she agreed with me in that we'd prefer to see a little more 'insulation' on her but apart from that she's doing fine, which is a relief! However, until I can get a new home built for her in the shed and with the weather getting particularly chilly, she's come inside for a while... With Einstein! I've been watching them this last few days, rummaging around their temporary home for grub, chatting to each other and snuggling up together and I have no doubts in my mind that I've made the right decision.
I originally didn't want to take Einstein out of the herd and leave those rowdy party girls without a boar to keep them in check but at the moment... it's like nothing has changed for them! The herd are perfectly fine with the arrangement. As long as they get extra grub they don't seem to realise that I've pinched their man! I'm sure at some point though Munchie will be demanding that I hold auditions, over which she will naturally be top judge, to find "The Shed's Next Top Boarfriend"... (sorry) ...Oh, and maybe a few more friends as compensation for stealing their boar... Not that I'd mind in the slightest... rolleyes
Aside from that little change, all is well with the piggies! Just waiting for the weather to improve now so I can get to work on a semi-permanent run area (I've got such big ideas, I just hope I can turn them into reality!) for them for when the time comes that they can start getting out and about again!
Once Tess and Einstein have settled in I'll be sure to get some pigtures of them for you!
