I'm hoping to get my house up for sale in the next few weeks, so i've had to move my piggies out of the second bedroom aka 'The Piggy Room', into the garage!

Although I still have four cages in my lounge aka 'The Small Animal Hospital', the house seems empty and is so much quieter.

As much as I love having my little friends in the house I know it will put people off buying the house, so i've had no choice but to do this.

Pops, Skye, Ben and Patch will remain indoors permanently, but will go to friends when I have viewings. Pops has dental problems and is syringe fed, Skye has a heart problem, Ben is nearly six and quite arthritic and Patch is his mate.

At the moment I also have Glitter and Sheila in my hospital as Glitter had a URI a few weeks ago, so want to just keep an eye on her for a further week, and Hannah, Twinkle, Tufty and Rory became inpatients yesterday as Hannah is having a recurring problem with her foot again (she had part of it amputated last year).

Even with all of them still indoors, it doesn't feel right!

i know how you feel (not xactly as you have so many more than me) when i put Lincoln upstairs in the piggy room with the rest i got really upset and felt alone as everytime i walked in the kitchen and in from work there was no loud sweeking to welcome me, it was very lonely. Good luck selling your house and hope the piggies in the house get better soon x

Good luck with the house sale Debbie. I am putting my girls in the shed. Well, I am going to give it a go in a 6x4 which will leave me with just the boys inside and 2 cages spare for any boys that have a falling out! (Logan I'm looking at you...lol)

Fingers crossed for a sucessful move. x

Aw, I can only imagine what that must be like. My flat would be extremely quiet and lonely without my guinea pigs and cats. The girls are being extremely noisy just now - gave them a bag with hay in it to play in when I got up this morning.

Awwwww all your piggies sound lovely :) I love the name glitter x)

She was very poorly a few weeks ago. When I dashed her over to Simon, my vet, I really didn't think I would be bringing her home again, but very slowly she got better again. I don't really want to put her in the garage just yet though, as I would prefer to wait until she has regained all the weight she lost.

Ummm .... maybe you could sleep in the garage with them, for company?

(just joking, of course!)

I know what you mean though, when we had to rehome our little family the room was dreadfully quiet .... even now, I often automatically look and listen out for them.

I can empathise with you Debbie. Never thought i'd say this but i'm missing mine being in tho' Haggis & Tait are still inside. I also have to say it's made them all a lot tamer being in, now when i go into the shed they stay stood looking at me whereas before they'd look but bog off as soon as i opened the hutch doors - i can see me camping out in the shed before long :(|):(|)

ROFL Sue she actually would !!!

awwwwww Debbie hopefully this arrangement wont be for long :)

It must be very quiet and sad.

I was very upset in autumn of 2007 when my pigs couldn't live with me for a while. I went back to my parents as much as I could to see them, but my own place was soulless without them.
