my last few hours with thorn... <3

heres some videos of thorn, just before he passed... as you can see.... he looks completely normal... :(
he was a very happy boy...
just thought you'd all like to see them....

I don't think I can bring myself to watch it, poor little guy.
You worked so hard with him, you gave him the best chance you could, nature is just so cruel sometimes :( xx

ohhhh.... :)

you should watch it.... ive only just watched it for the first time...theres a few tears in my eyes... and you can see hes a happy little mite... :(
i do miss him so much...

the shocking thing was this was the day before he dies and the dark one was his last feed before i go off to bed... which was at 2:30 am... and he has passed away at 10am..... its so sad.... and totally unexpected...

At least you can take some comfort knowing he was happy and had a full tum tum 8... 8...
 
Ah, I just watched them both, he was so inquisitive and lively. I can understand now why it was such a shock to find he had past away since his last feed :(

You were a brilliant Mummy to him, just looking at the bond you two had, he just wanted you and you gave the little fella so much love and care. Its sad he didnt stay longer but please take pride that what he got from you was nothing but the best a piggie could have.

But look, you had a lovely time together, and he clearly got alot of cuddles and treats before he passed. I think that's one of the best ways for a piggie to pass, he actually had the time to have a last cuddle and a chance to say goodbye to you before he left, and as someone said, he had one last opportunity to stuff his face full of delicious food before he went.

What a lovely life he must have had with you, and arent you happy you got to spend that time with him on the last evening of his life?

I'm so grateful for the fact that his deteiroration was quick because it would have been heart breaking if it dragged on...
i am so happy i spent the time i did with him... i just miss him... its a really wierd feeling... its like ive got too much time now... i get to pick up his ashes tomorow... i think that will be helping me draw it all to an end really...

Gorgeous little guy, he looked so happy and energetic in the videos. My Enrico was squeaking back to him while the videos were playing

You were a great piggy mum to him and he must have had a wonderful time while he was with you. I'm so sorry he passed so suddenly

he loved that teddy... slept on it quite oftern... and the teeth....!... my god... i felt it that time he nipped me...!

all he wanted me to do was hold him...!
i'd feed him... give him some loves and then i'd have to put him back in the cage so i can get on with some stuff i need to do.. and he'd just wheek and wheek and wheek... untill i'd pick him up... lol... he was a spoiled little man...

I've only just caught up on Thorn's passing as I've been so busy here. I know how painful it is to lose a piggy that you've put so much love and hope into. They become the very special ones that never leave you, even when they are gone. His time with you may have been all too brief, but the joy he brought will last a lifetime.

Ahhh he was a lovely little lad and what a wonderful memory those videos are. His stay was brief, but what a little star he was.

so.... i go to collect thorns ashes today... there in a beautiful box.... with a name plack on the top....

and.... yeh.... they spelt his name wrong... mallethead

but alas they are posting me a new name plate (spelt correctly hopefully)
