My guinea pigs are all fine weight (holly is 4 yrs and weighs 900g, Sienna is 7 months and weighs 873.6g) Lola on the other hand is 7 months a weighs a whooping 998.7g she eats the same as the rest (except she does pinch the others food out of their mouths) she puts more and more weight on every week the vet said not to let her put anymore on put she can't help it, I don't want her to be unhealthy, so how can I put her on a diet without underfeeding her?

Do they get free run time? Pehaps let her have more than the others?

Its hard when you have a group to cut back on ones food in take without the others especially with dry food. How much dry food do you give them each day?

But all piggies are dofferent sizes and weights anyway, how long have you had them? x

They get loadsss of free run time, they're hardly ever in their cage, but Lola just sits there sometimes and doesn't run around. I got them in September last year and Holly I got 3 weeks ago. I give them a bowl of dry pellets a day to share so about 50g each but they don't eat the whole bowl, and veg and hay too. I'm so worried she'll be becoming unhealthy.

I'm sure she is just fine so dont worry! How much roughly does she gain in a week? x

Oh thats fine! Only 23g, the difference between an empty and full bladder can be around 30g.

I'm sure she is very happy and healthy, no need to worry! :) xx

Thanks for your help, if she carries on getting bigger and bigger I'll take her to the vet, she can't even bend properly to get her poop! Thanks :)

They don't stop growing until they are around a year or so of age, so she still has some growing to do.
