Fred my piggy has a purple bottom and he does not want it touched. Any one know about this?

Welcome to our friendly forum. You have come to the right place for all things piggy.

If you are at all concerned take Fred to the vet. Only a vet can diagnose what the problem is. A vet would rather see a healthy piggy and an anxious owner than an ill piggy and an owner that has left it too late. Where are you based? We have members from all over the world. If you are in the UK then the Vet locator at the top of the page has a list of vets throughout the country that have been recommended by members so you can be assured of being in good hands. Not all vets know how to treat guinea pigs properly.

I’m afraid that based on your very short description we cannot give you any information or advice. If whatever you are seeing is a change from normal guinea pig anatomy or behaviour then the only advice we can give is to take your piggy to see a vet.
