Lucky

Some of you may have seen my thread, and seen that I have managed to finally find a friend for my lovely lady Lucky, she has been waiting a few months now and was getting so so so lonely. We thought a baby piggie would startle her, as she's quite laid back and chilled out, so the search has been long but weve found a new friend for her, yet to be named, still thinking of names!

She's roughly two years old, a smooth dark eyed golden. Very nervous at the moment, I haven't seen her exploring the cage, she just tends to hide under the hay. I caught them both this morning though and had them explore the carpet in the front room (naughty me!) and decided to take some photos!

When I put them back, my new little addition to our piggie family did appear out of the hay, but dived back in when she saw me. So hopefully there's some progress now!

Anyway, now that I have hounded them for photos, here are some!

hehe, thanks! I don't know why the new one narrows her eyes though, she does it quite a lot!
 
They are definitely lovely! one of my piggies does that too the eye closing thing!

The new girl is so so sweet!

I hope that you will see a different Lucky very soon now!
 
Lucky seems happier already but i think she is as eager as I am for newbie to come out from under the hay a bit more! She sits there watching it, haha.

They are sooooooooooooo cute! Don't stop with the photos!

Don't worry about the eyes maybe the camera flash just caught he eye mine always do that as well.

More progress from Poppy, I am so happy :(|)

She comes out of her hidey under the pile of hay much more now, Ive seen her poking around lots and lots! She comes out almost as soon as your back is turned to see what veggies have been put in the cage, and she scoffs away with Lucky, poor Lucky has taken to grabbing cucumber and running to the other end of the cage with it! She used to get first dibs when Poppy was too shy to emerge from her hay pile! Ive also seen Poppy relaxing in a corner of the cage... on TOP of hay... what a surprise!

And while they used to sleep at opposite ends of the cage, they've now taken to cuddling up together in one corner, and its so so so cute. And as an experiment during floor time, I gave one leaf of romaine lettuce, and they sat together and shared it x) I did try to get a photo but Lucky said "bums up!" to the camera :))

I'm so happy.. Next steps are to get her to calm down when we try to pick her up, and to encourage her to take food from hands during lap time!

They are absolutely gorgeous... I love the chilling pic of poppy and of course Lucky is stunning! x)x)

So glad they are making progress! Can't wait to see some cuddling pictures :)!
 
When i get home friday, I shall be hiding behind the wall armed with a camera ready to snap when they snuggle!
I'd ask my mum to take a photo for me but she doesnt even know how to turn the thing on rolleyes
