My male guinea is 5 years old. He is not defecating properly. He has impaction because his anal sacs are huge. I clean his little bum everyday but twice now he has excreted poo that looks like brown paste! I reckon I should take him to the vet. What does anyone else think?

Regards
Stephen

Yes, please have him vet checked. You may need to step up the cleaning out of the anal sac and do it twice daily.

You may find out impaction guide helpful; apart from several videos, it also contains diet tips to help minimise impaction as much as possible (more effective in the early stages than in the more advanced ones.)
