As you may have seen from other posts, we adopted Roger from Pets at Home in February. He was on his own and advertised as needing to stay that way. I loathe sociable animals being kept alone unnecessarily so he came home with us so he could be neutered and have some girlfriends.

So once he was neutered we started looking round for girls and found Crawley Guinea Pig Rescue. Two weeks ago today the lovely Jenny came to see us with three girls and we tried intros. Roger and one of the girls took a pretty instant dislike to each other so we arranged to go and see Jenny the following day so Rog could meet some other girls. He wasn't sure about the first pair so we tried two little 10 month old girls and that seemed to work better so they came home with us.

There hasn't been any fighting but things have been a bit tense between the group. Roger rumblestruts a lot and the girls were bickering between them and terrified of us. I wasn't certain it would work out so I held off introducing the girls to you all. But they seemed to turn a corner in the middle of this week. Suddenly the girls were coming to the bars and taking food from our hands. The bickering stopped, the rumbling calmed a little and the whole atmosphere in the cage became happier. So I'm feeling confident now in introducing to you

Welcome home ladies x)

What a lovely trio, am so glad things have worked out, they are all adorable.

A lovely trio!

It was probably a bit much for the girls - new home, new company from a very excited boy and the inevitable dominance dispute in new territory; I am glad that everypig has settled in now!
