Hi all,
This is my first post as a member but I've 'lurked' for such a long time and have always found the info on these forums invaluable as a Guinea Pig owner.

Last night I made one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make and take away the pain and suffering of my dear little Toffee whose tummy was full of big Kidney Stones that he just couldn't pass and were causing such discomfort.

They say in life that everything happens for a reason and this little guy, along with his brother came into our families life at a time when we needed him most. He's been with us for just short of 6 years and he has lived and been loved like a king. Funny, playful, brave, ballsy, bossy and loving are only a few words to describe this little Guinea. He really did mean the world to us and I'm absolutely heartbroken.

Words can't express the sadness that I am feeling today. Toffee has left a huge hole in my heart and right now, I don't know how it will heal.

I would like you all please to raise a glass and wish him well as he makes his journey over the Rainbow Bridge.

Aww this has made me a bit teary. So sorry for your loss. Toffee is gorgeous and sounds like he had a wonderful and for filled life with you a loving owner xx
 
So sorry for your loss. Its so hard to lose a piggy when they are such a big member of your family. I lost my 2 boys this year aged 6 and 6 1/2 years, it's tough. Be kind to yourself, you gave Toffee a wonderful life and the gift of true love to help him on his way.

Look after yourself and take time to grieve.

I hope you will find support here - many of us have had to make the same decision you have and understand the pain.
 
Hello and with sadness I say welcome.
Beautiful little guy Toffee and Your world is less now but it's Rainbows gain.
He sounded like a very wonderful piggie and lettin go was hard.
