Our beloved boy, Evan, passed away during the night last night. A broken heart doesn't even come close to capture how sad we are. He was the sweetest, most amazing guinea and we will miss him so much! He was only 4.5 years old and was way too young to die.

This is my daughter with Evan the day we brought him home in 2012. He was an unwanted guinea another family didn't want to care for anymore. He blessed us more than we could have ever imagined he would.

I wish I had known about this forum earlier. We have been syringe feeding Evan for 6 weeks and I would have loved the support instead of the eye rolls and the "he's JUST a guinea pig" comments. He was a beloved member of our family and we will miss him more than words can express.

I'm ever so sorry for the loss Evan. You and your family are in my thoughts. (No pictures that I can see) and I'm sorry you had to put up with the people who clearly have no care or love for animals, coming up with comments like that.. I have no time for people like that! x
 
I saw your tribute in the garden on the other thread. I am really sorry for the loss of your beautiful piggy, it is so hard to lose them, syringe feeding is such a draining process - massive hugs to you at this sad time. Evan obviously had a life full of love and was cherished dearly.
